Airbus Facilities Tour!

A big thank you to Airbus for hosting 22 of our team members at their Filton site! Also thank you to Isabella Gillott for organising the visit, and to our teammate Zsombor Horanyi for help with correspondence. Both are on industrial placement years at Airbus! It was a fantastic opportunity for us to see behind the scenes at one of the world’s leading aerospace companies and gain insights into their real-world engineering practices. We were able to visit four key facilities: the Fuel Systems Test Facility, Landing Gear Systems Test Facility, A400M Wing Manufacturing Facility, and AirTec (Aerospace Integrated Research and Technology Centre). Seeing these facilities up close and learning how some critical assemblies are manufactured and tested was a great experience. It was great to hear from Airbus engineers about the challenges they tackle and how they develop solutions for the industry. Experiences like this drive our interest in engineering and motivate us to push forward.
