All the scruts: LV, HV, Tilt, Noise & Brake

Day 4 of the Formula Student UK (FSUK) 2024 competition at Silverstone started with a 6:30 am campsite briefing, followed by an early start in the pits at 7 am to join the scrutineering queues. By mid-afternoon, we successfully passed both the Low Voltage (LV) and High Voltage (HV) inspections. Following the rain test, we proceeded to the Tilt, Noise, and Braking scrutineering tests. However, during the brake test setup, our car encountered an issue. It rested on a suspension wishbone placed on a jack stand, which snapped the carbon fibre suspension rod. Our team was devastated as it meant we would not have chance to take part in the dynamic event, Sprint. However, we quickly bonded and cured a new wishbone using a nearby autoclave. In the evening, we attended the awards ceremony, where we were honoured with the Racing Pride Aston Martin Diversity and Inclusion Award. After the ceremony, we completed the car's wheel alignment and prepared for the morning's re-scrutineering for tech and safety, ensuring the robustness of our fix. We planned to follow this with the brake test, the final scrutineering requirement. Day 4 was a blend of technical challenges and accomplishments, highlighting our team's resilience and commitment.
