BPP and Accu & Mech Scrut attempts
Day 2 of the Formula Student UK (FSUK) 2024 competition at Silverstone began with an early start. At 6:30 am, we gathered for a campsite team briefing to outline the day's activities.
Our team participated in the Business Plan Presentation (BPP) as part of the static events. Simultaneously, we attempted to get our accumulator through scrutineering alongside mechanical and chassis scrutineering. The accumulator passed quickly, but we encountered issues with the charging cart. The cart’s circuits malfunctioned, causing the accumulator circuits to fail as well. Although the accumulator did not officially pass scrutineering, we were allowed to take it back to the pit for further work.
During the mechanical scrutineering, we faced a challenge with our front wing, which was too low. Adjusting it to a higher setting would result in the endplates being too high, creating a dilemma we need to address.
Despite the setbacks, our team remained focused and committed to resolving these issues, ready to tackle the challenges of the competition.
